General Info

Our Boys Club Team Program goes from 2nd-7th grade.  Bethesda Lacrosse Club are teams of skilled lacrosse players that are seeking to improve their game through excellent coaching and year round training.  Our multi-faceted youth lacrosse program provides excellent instruction and playing opportunities for athletes in an environment that generates a competitive, encouraging and positive team experience.

BETHESDA LACROSSE CLUB CARES!  As a 501c3 non-profit organization, we have an engaged board, an incredible staff and coaches that are committed to ensuring every team and player has a great experience playing in the program.  Our Bethesda Lacrosse Club teams have the best coaches around with extensive playing & coaching experience.  We have a combination of parent coaches and professional coaches to ensure the right balance and attention to ensure the development of the players and teams.  Our main goal is to instill a love of the game in the players.  Our players learn, improve individually and collectively, compete at all times and have ton of fun with their teammates and coaches.  The entire Bethesda Lacrosse organization believes strongly in the incredible benefits that youth sports has on young people to help them develop into great leaders, competitors and teammates on and off the playing field.    

OUR CLUB LACROSSE PHILOSOPHY & COMMITMENT

Bethesda Lacrosse Club supports the multi-sport athlete and encourages players to play other sports in the “off season” to increase their athleticism and to be engaged in other activities. Bethesda Lacrosse Club Teams are a year-long program (September through June/early July at the latest) that consist of training, practices, league play, development and club level tournaments.  Players are expected to make the commitment to the team after the tryouts in June/July of 2023 through the end of the program in summer 2024.  Players are encouraged to attend fall and winter activities with their team, yet it is acceptable that a fall or winter sport take precedence. It is expected that players commit fully to their club lacrosse team for the Spring season and summer tournaments since the main season for lacrosse are those months. Bethesda Lacrosse Club keeps a small bench with a minimal roster. Players absences in the spring/summer due to other sports affect both coaches, players and team cohesion.

Bethesda Lacrosse Club Blue Teams – these are our most competitive teams in each grade.  These teams focus on individual and team development with higher level team concepts being taught and executed.  These teams play in the most competitive tournaments and leagues. 

Bethesda Lacrosse Club Orange Teams – these are more developmental teams where skill development and general team concepts are the focus.  The Orange Teams play in appropriately selected leagues and tournaments.

Bethesda Lacrosse Club White Teams – this is “Club Light” for players that might not be quite ready for the club level or commitment, but want more than our seasonal rec teams can offer.
