Spring Rec League

SPRING 2021 LEAGUE

One game per weekend on Saturdays (or Sunday afternoons)

COMING IN JANUARY!

All Rec Teams

Absolutely no outside club/travel players may play in this league with the exception of 2nd and 3rd grade BLC players. ANY PLAYER FOUND IN VIOLATION WILL BE IMMEDIATELY EJECTED. YOUR PLAYER MAY ONLY PARTICIPATE ON ONE TEAM WITHIN THIS LEAGUE. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED!

Bethesda Lacrosse Association reserves the right to limit the number of "club" players on each team for 2nd/3rd. We are working to create parity between teams in each division and appreciate everyone's understanding. We will allow between 3-6 club players per team (dependent on registrations) for the Spring season. Our goal is to have a balanced league with competitive games for all skill levels. Bethesda Lacrosse Association remains as the area's only non-profit youth lacrosse program that works to bring the love of lacrosse to all those that are interested in playing in a format that safe, fun, competitive and instructional.

Divisions of play

K/1st Grade
This division is for our youngest players. The rosters will be smaller in this division and the field is condensed for more touches on the ball and to keep the players engaged in the game. In the fall, the K/1st graders have a weekly skills practice and a game on the weekend. In the spring, the teams will have 1 practice per week as a team and 1 game per week on the weekend.

Fee: $195

2nd/3rd Grade
Players must have completed the prerequisite programs set forth below. There will be a maximum of 20 players per team. A 'one-pass' rule is in effect. This requires the offensive team to make or attempt one pass in its offensive end of the field. Players committing time-serving penalties will serve the penalty and the team will be "man-down".  All players must have full equipment. Players may only play on one team within the league. Players must have participated in previous Bethesda Lacrosse Introductory Clinic, or must demonstrate comparable experience in other clinics or formal instruction.

Fee: $265

4th/5th Grade
Teams will have a maximum of 20 players per team. Players must have participated in previous Bethesda Lacrosse leagues, or must demonstrate comparable experience in other leagues or formal instruction. The decision to accept such experience is solely at the discretion of the House Commissioner. Players may only play on one team within the league. Coaches may recommend players attend clinics.

Fee: $265

6th/7th Grade
Teams will have a maximum of 20 players per team. Players must demonstrate the basic lacrosse skills and knowledge of the game to play in this division. Participation is at the discretion of the Rec Commissioner. Players must have participated in previous Bethesda Lacrosse leagues, or must demonstrate comparable experience in other leagues or formal instruction. Players may only play on one team within the league.

Fee: $265

8th Grade
Teams will have a maximum of 20 players per team. Players must demonstrate the basic lacrosse skills and knowledge of the game to play in this division. Participation is at the discretion of the House Commissioner. Players may only play on one team within the league.
