In addition to the two weekend team practices, K/1 teams will have 3 clinic-style weekday practices (one per week) the first few weeks of the season. Teams in all other divisions (grades 2-8) may have two optional weekday practices (one per week) in September. After those practices, the season will be games-only in all divisions.

ROSTERS/SCHEDULES: Rosters will be released in early September and game schedules will be published by the middle of September.
FORMAT: Grades K/1: Our youngest division will play 7 v 7 (no goalies) on a small field with a special emphasis on instruction. Small rosters mean lots of action and lots of opportunities to learn, build confidence and a love of the game. Grades 2-8: Our grades 2-8 divisions will play 7 vs 7 this fall (2-2-2, plus goalies) on small fields. This format will ensure lots of touches on the ball for each player, while continuing to reinforce the skills of full format games. LOTS OF ACTION!
FULL EQUIPMENT REQUIRED FOR ALL PLAYERS IN ALL DIVISIONS:
UNIFORM: All players will receive a Bethesda Lacrosse pinnie and shorts.
REQUESTS: In the online registration, you may enter a Coach Request and/or Teammate Requests. These are not guaranteed, but Bethesda Lacrosse will try to accommodate your requests.
COACHING: If you are interested in coaching your son's team, the Registration Fee will be waived. Please contact Vicki Langerman for more information.
Absolutely no club/travel players may play in this league with the following exception:
ANY PLAYER FOUND IN VIOLATION WILL BE IMMEDIATELY EJECTED. PLAYERS MAY ONLY PARTICIPATE ON ONE TEAM WITHIN THIS LEAGUE. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED!
Bethesda Lacrosse Association reserves the right to limit the number of "club" players on each team for 2nd/3rd. We are working to create parity between teams in each division. Our goal is to have a balanced league with competitive games for all skill levels. Bethesda Lacrosse Association remains as the area's only non-profit youth lacrosse program that works to bring the love of lacrosse to all those that are interested in playing in a format that safe, fun, competitive and instructional.

"My kindergartner just finished his first year of lacrosse and loved it! He has learned the game, made friends, and improved his skills. Most importantly, BLC has emphasized safety and teamwork every step of the way. Looking forward to next year!"
"Bethesda Lacrosse rec league is a wonderful way for players to get an enjoyable experience learning and playing lacrosse is a low stress environment. Everyone plays in the games so even newer players get the chance to play and grow."
"We live much closer to several other lacrosse teams but always come back to BLC! This is our second year and we could not be happier. The rec league keeps things fun and exciting while making sure all the players progress. Thank you for another great season!"
