SCOOPERS

Early Introduction to the game for Boys- Birth years (9/1/2006-8/31/2007). No equipment necessary-Stick/Shirt provided with registration.

SEASON: MARCH 31ST-MAY 12TH

TIME:  9:45 am-10:45 am

LOCATION: North Bethesda Middle School-Lower Field (TENTATIVE).

ELIGIBILITY: Birth years 9/1/2006-8/31/2007

FEE: $125

There is a $25 fee for any canceled registration

INTRODUCTORY CLINIC

Basic skills and fundamentals will be taught in small group drills, progressing to learning positions, rules, and limited strategy. The last two sessions will feature small-sided scrimmages. All players will need FULL equipment. Your son will not be permitted to play without a mouth guard. Players who complete the Spring 2012 Introductory Clinic will be eligible to participate in the Fall 2012 move onto a team, if age eligible, unless not deemed appropriate by Clinic coaches.

All players MUST have a mouth guard, protective cup, helmet, shoulder pads, arm guards, gloves, and stick.

TIME: 8:00am-9:30 am (TENTATIVE)

INSTRUCTIONAL-"OLDER PLAYER-1/1/1997-8/31/00 " INTRODUCTORY CLINIC

For older boys who have not played on a team, or completed the Introductory Clinic previously, but would like to register for a team this season.  These players are permitted to register for this clinic as well as for a team on a concurrent basis.  Dual participation is required in order for a player without experience to register for a team. The clinic will focus on the basic fundamentals of the game and supplement the instruction each boy is receiving from their team coach.  It consists of several instructional sessions on cradling, passing, catching, defense, ground balls, and game play during last two sessions

SEASON: APRIL 1ST-MAY 13TH

LOCATION: North Bethesda MS (TENTATIVE)

TIME: 11AM-12:30PM

BIRTHYEARS: 1/1/1997-8/31/00

FEE: $150

Bethesda Lacrosse is offering SSL Hours for High School students!!  Come assist coaches for our Spring 2012 season!

Prior lacrosse experience required-High School Students only.

Students will have the opportunity to help our dedicated coaches with teams and/or clinics. 

*NOTE-All Bethesda Lacrosse coaches have mandated background checks.

 

There will be opportunity to help assist teams in the evening at practices (and some weekend games) and also to help out at our various weekend clinics.  Hours will vary depending on placement.

SPRING 2012 BOYS BETHESDA LEAGUE AND CLINICS
 

    U9-Tyker and U13 Midget divisions now FULL and CLOSED; VERY LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABL IN ALL OTHER DIVISIONS.

CLINICS STILL OPEN WITH LIMITED SPOTS OPEN

·         Season:

o   GAMES: Saturday, March 24^th through the weekend of May 19^th-20^th (Championship Tournament Weekend)-NO RAINDATES

 

o   CLINICS: Saturday, March 24^th through Sunday, May 13th

 

o   No games or clinics the weekend of April 7^th-8^th

 

·         One game per weekend, most games on Saturday, but some may be on Sunday afternoons.

 

·         Games will be played at various locations in Bethesda, Potomac and Rockville.

 

• Practices will be held either once or twice during the week, depending on division and coach.

 

When registering for a team, please remember the following:

 

·         When requesting a COACH, please indicate LAST NAME ONLY

·         Please indicate SCHOOL ATTENDING (Players will be placed together by school clusters unless specific coach is indicated.)

·         IF YOU PLAYED FALL AND HAVE YOUR PINNIE, YOU WILL NOT NEED A NEW ONE (New pinnies will only be $5 if you would like a new one).

Spring 2012 Girl's Bethesda League and Clinics

Registration opens to returning players on 12/1/2011.
Players new to Bethesda Lacrosse register on 12/15/2011.

Game dates:

Spring Playday: March 25th
Game 1:  April 1
Game 2: April 15
Game 3: April 22
Game 4: April 29
Game 5: May 6
Game 6: May 13
Playoffs: May 20
(Most games will be on Sundays, though there may be 2 Saturday games on April 14 and 21).

Girls must have participated on a team or completed a Bethesda Lacrosse Clinic or a comparable clinic to be eligible for team play.

Games will be played at locations in Bethesda and Potomac.
There will be a practice during the week for each team.

The Dates for Clinics:
Saturday March 24-May 5
No clinics on April 7.
Introductory Clinic will be held from 11:00am-12:00pm.
Scooper Clinic will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm.

Clinics will be at a location in Bethesda or Potomac.
